Archive for January, 2010

As what I have posted last week I’m a music lover. I could easily get in to music. Wherever I am and whatever I do. I enjoyed singin It was developed when I was in high school. My inclination in music was added when I studied in a Bible School.

Then came college life. Before I entered college, I have options either to join in a college choir for me to become a full time scholar or use my award as salutatorian in high school. But before going into that, I was asked by a friend to undergo an audition in a college choir which is known as Glee Club for me to know where to put myself. After the audition of course, there is singing and vocalizing, I was qualified with 18 units free. When I enrolled, the person in charge asked me of which one do I need to use, to be in the top lists or be with Glee Club. After a second thought, I chose Glee Club. That’s where my inclination to music developed.

During those years I was trained by Manay Lily, the mother of Noli Cabahug, the known do,re,mi singer in the Phil. That was the start of my journey in the field of music. I will be telling more, don’t give up visiting me, lol!

Music is part of my life as what I have shared last time. I love to sing, when I was a kid, I enjoy singing. I usually lead songs in front of my classmates when I was in Elementary years. My teacher would always asked me to lead in singing to make our class lively.

The same in high school, I became known to the school campus because my classmates would asked me to sing. After graduation, I studied in a Bible School because I want to know more about God and His word. I was there for 2 years, I met people, friends who really love the Lord. And teachers who trained us especially in the field of music. We were trained to direct a choir and slowly learned silent reading of notes. Because I love music, I find it easy to learn. I was an amateur in the field of music, but I kept going.

I had classmates who were also good singers, we travelled and sang to different churches and our voices were trained well. That was my unforgettable experience. I will continue the story next time.

Yesterday we celebrated our son’s 7th natal day. It was fun and full of surprises. We received a blessing from a friend so  we were able to have a small party. We were blessed with friends and we’re glad they blessed us just at the right time.

AJ was so excited yesterday, his close friends didn’t make it that’s why hubby and AJ went to our neighbors and invited all of them to share with us. Many of them came and AJ was happy. He also got many presents and gifts, so his day was full yesterday with blessings.

We are blessed to have AJ, he’s growing fast his age and we’re glad that he learns fast too.

I love music. When I was a child I love to sing. I remember when I was 10 years old I joined in a Vacation Bible School. We learned God’s Holy Book, we listened to true stories, and sang songs. Two days before our graduation, our teacher was training 2 students for a song presentation. While I was listening, I never did realize that I was already singing with them. Our teacher had a hard time teaching one of them. When she heard me singing, she ask me to sing the part of the second voice. She was astonished when she heard me sang correctly. From that time on I was challenged to sing more and more.

Then when I was in high school, I was challenged by my classmates to sing in a contest. I didn’t agree because it’s a barangay fiesta and I don’t know most of the songs that they’re singing. But I was forced anyway, after few hours I saw myself singing in front, waaahhhh! I won 3rd place. I have many stories to tell, to be continued next time, lol!

Scenic Sunday

This is my first time to join Scenic Sunday. This place is in the Phil. You can find a lot of cool and fascinating places here and there. It’s a place where you can really relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.

More Scenic Sunday posts here.

We love to bless others especially the underprivileged and the poor. It breaks our hearts seeing them. A lot of times we had the opportunity to bless them in our own small ways. We had a neighbor last time who came from another country and they work in order to survive. Small children were brought by their parents while working in the buildings. It’s so sad but we have nothing to do except to bless them and give something.

That’s the way we live our life. We did things to bless others and make them feel at peace even in their hard and difficult situation. Helping them if given a chance and pray for them too. That’s the way we live our lives to the fullest.

Boracay is an island. It is known to most tourists who traveled around the world. I have a lot of friends who had been to this place. Sad to say, I was living nearby but I wasn’t able to visit this place.

Why I wanted to see this tourists spot? Maybe you are wondering why? It is a known and fascinating island in the Visayas Region. And I came from Visayas. So Boracay is quite near yet so far to visit, lol! My sister told me that they were blessed by her in-laws to visit the place and stayed there for a couple of days just to tour and relax. Wow, it’s nice. They went there few weeks ago, spent their 3 days vacation before the school opens in Jan 2010. What a big treat for them as a family. Deep in my heart I wished to go there to.

Boracay is a good place to relax, however, it can be a place where lovers meet and besides, others did things and became bad examples for young ones. But when you visit the place for leisure and relaxation – this is the right place.

Wished to be there when I go back home, I will encouraged my sister to visit that place too.

My world is not only to place where I live in but the people whom I love. My immediate family, my nearest kin, my parents, my own family. It’s not a joke to have a family but living life to the full is what I desired to do.

Sometimes I’m in to the world of fantasies, lol! I thought I’m not in the world but it’s just only a moment not a lifetime. My world is full of surprises, struggles, victories, happiness and the like. But one thing for sure, I’m living in the world but not of the world.

I love my family, they are my world, my joys and my life is full with them but with the Creator guiding us, our world is complete.

Few months ago, a friend of mine chatted me and told me that he joined a contest, a painting contest in Asia. I wasn’t sure at first until he send some of his works. This Cattleya flower is one. When I looked at it I thought it’s a real flower. Then I realized it wasn’t. I remember last time when we were together studying in the university he used to draw and gave to us. Now, he’s earning from it. It’s nice to have skills and abilities. It gives you the nerves to move on and finish what you have started.

Having a gift is really wonderful. It is God- given and should be used properly for His glory, the One who gives life and abilities freely to all mankind.

Last time we went to another province doing some community work. While on our way, hubby and I decided to pass by another province to get something.  I was not familiar with the place so I just followed hubby. I was amazed when I saw a beach, I asked him how we can travel passing that beach but he was silent.

I paid some penny, then we waited for a couple of minutes. We saw another boat (  a bigger one ) coming. It was my first time to experience this. We rode on a big boat from that place passing the seashore. What a great experience we have had. We were riding in our car on the boat. It’s terrific. I enjoyed taking some pictures and we just traveled few minutes. Then we’re on the other side. Have you tried that? It’s really fun and interesting.
